How to construct your business plan
#1 A Clear Outcome
The very first thing you want to do in your business is first set an outcome.
What I mean is you want to set a ‘clear’ outcome.
An example of that can be like I want to make 15,000 dollars a month or I want to recruit two new people a day.
That’s a clear outcome.
Why you want to set an outcome is so you have an idea on what you’re working towards. A target you can hit.
You want to be lazar focused on this target and not deviate around it. Lazar focused.
Once you have a clear outcome – the next step is to figure out what are all the ‘BIG’ pieces to your business strategy
#2 Big Pieces
For example: Do you need a blog? Do you need a high converting follow up series? Do you need a product? Do you need certain tools to automate your business? Do you need sales and marketing information?
Whatever big pieces you need in order to accomplish your outcome for your business. Write those down.
Make a list (may take 10 to 15mins)
Once you have all your ‘big’ pieces to your business written down – then you want to figure out what are the ‘little’ pieces you need in order to accomplish your outcome.
#3 Little Pieces
For example: Do you have to write articles based around a specific audience? Do you have to setup a Facebook fan page? Do you have to setup a follow up series?
What are all the little pieces to your business?
Write those down.
That right there – just those three steps will transform your business if you follow through on them because you’re going to get clear on your outcome – and the things you need in place to achieve them!
So once you’ve mapped out all the ‘little’ pieces to your business. Then you really want to start looking at the resources you have to help you accomplish your outcome.
#4 what resources do you have?
For example: Maybe you have 5 hours a day to put in to your business. That’s a resource.
Maybe you have a laptop to work on. That’s a resource. Or you have a nice spot in your house to film videos on. That’s a resource.
Maybe you have a company presentation video or you have a high converting newsletter. All those things are resources.
List out 25 to 50 resources you have at this very second that can help you accomplish your goals.
Once you have a list of all your resources – the next step is to figure out what resources you don’t have yet.
#5 What resources don’t you have yet?
This is a big one and so people may not want to explore the possibility of this but I promise you if you have ask yourself that kind of question it won’t be negative towards your brain.
It’s because you’re asking your mind what resources you don’t have yet that can help me accomplish my outcome. And your brain will start searching for ways to obtain those desired outcomes.
Maybe you don’t have a beach house yet.
Maybe you don’t have a Lamborghini yet
Maybe you don’t have $10,000 dollars to dump into solo ads
Maybe you don’t have all day to work in your business. Write it down.
This is your time to dream & shine.
Don’t be afraid to dream big here. Figure out what resources you don’t have yet to help you accomplish your goals.
Once you have a list of resources you don’t have, yet – You want to figure out what you’re willing to do to accomplish your outcome.
For example: Are you willing to prospect your warm market again? Are you willing to write ONE article a day? Are you willing to work hard, stay consistent and motivated?
Write a list of all the things you are WILLING to do to accomplish your goals. – Following this helps you understand yourself much more.
Once you have your list of the things you are willing to do to accomplish your outcome. Then you want to figure out what you’re not willing to do to build your business.
You can be real honest with yourself here.
What are things you’re not willing to do to accomplish your outcome?
For example: I’m not willing to prospect on Social Media for 4 hours a day to build my business. I’m not willing to cold call strangers from a shopping mall. I’m not willing to ‘lie’ to my customer to get them in.
Just come up with a couple things you’re not willing to do to accomplish your outcome.
This whole process from start to finish should take you roughly 30 to 60mins to complete if you follow through on it. It really helps you get ‘clear’ on what you need to take action on in your business.
