How to Scale out your Business Locally
Hey there, Sean here.
I have a quick question for you. Do you want to know how to scale out your business locally?
Well, there’s a couple steps to it. There’s a few key elements that you are going to want to have in place to scale out your business locally pretty quickly. In this blog post we’re going to cover 5 excellent ways for you to expand and scale your business quickly.
So make sure you pay attention, take notes and enjoy this brief insight.
The first method which one of the simplest methods of scaling your businesses is this:
- Partner with other local business owners
This is where you and your local business partners are doing some form of advertising for each other. This is a fantastic way to increase and sale out your business locally pretty quickly. This is how you go from an employee manager to top executive seat real quickly.
For example: If you’re a hair cutting salon and you guys do special promotions during the week. You could easily partner with a restaurant or a couple restaurant owners to casual mention or advertise in their place of business. A simple post card or flier with every bill or seating a simple 300 character flier that reminds them to visit the hair cutting salon.
If you followed this simple formula and partnered with 3 or 5 local businesses that generate a similar amount of foot traffic. You could essentially 2 to 3x your traffic output over the course of a few weeks. That’s one method.
The second method which is actually pretty common in today’s market is Billboards
In your billboard you want to make your billboard customization to either the store itself year round or make selective billboards per the season advertising a product on sale or season driving traffic to your store.
The reason you want to look into billboards is because usually everyone looks at them at some point If they drive on a specific road to work every day. They are essentially one of the best forms of advertising for local businesses.
The third method on how to scale your business quickly is to place fliers in local areas and regions.
- Post or drop fliers in local areas of a lot of foot traffic
In these fliers you want to send a clear solid message to visit your store or website if they are interested in the offer you are proposing. These don’t have to be long, length salesy fliers. They can be fun, entertaining and even exciting to read.
Kind of like a postcard:
You can create a batch of 3 to 7 different flier prototypes and have hidden messages on each and every one. And true fans and believers of your store could even try and making a game out of reading them and try collecting them all.
Make sure these fliers drive traffic to either the local store or website. And they generate curiosity and engagement.
The fourth way to scale out your business locally is to simple create a Facebook fan page.
- Create a Local Facebook Fan page
One of the beauties of creating a Facebook fan page is the simple fact that it allows you to stay in touch with your closest fans. If you ever have an HOT ITEMS that go on clearance sale you could easily snap a few photos of the rack and presell a couple more items.
This local Facebook Fan page will also generate some viral buzz if you keep it up to date and maintain it. I have some training and information resources I can send you to get some extra knowledge on how to maintain a Facebook Fan page a little later on at the end of this post. The training videos will surely show you how to create and manage a local Facebook fan page if you are not familiar with the idea.

The fifth way to scale out your business locally is this Local Paid Traffic
- Local Paid Traffic
This method of advertising can be done through social media (for cheap), radio, TV ads and even postcards to a neighboring area or reign.
This is whenever you are paying for someone to come visit your shop. This method can get a little costly depending on the route of exposure you choose to proceed with but it can yield a tremendous amount of local traffic that always comes and visits your local shop.
I know the cheapest forum of advertising with paid traffic may actually be to use a local fan page on Facebook and target locally based off specific items or location based services for people.
